Memorpaw Crafting Limitations
At Memorpaw, every piece we creat—whether a custom pet portrait, pet memorial sculpture, pet loss gift, or handmade pet keepsake—is crafted entirely by human hands. Our artists pour hours of love and attention into honoring your beloved companion. Because the artwork is handmade (never 3D-printed), there are natural artistic limitations we want to communicate transparently:
1. Handmade Artwork Cannot Achieve a 100% Photographic Match
We always strive for a high level of likeness, capturing your pet’s most recognizable traits and spirit.
However, a perfect, 100% exact match is not possible with any handmade art form. Each piece is an artistic interpretation meant to honor and memorialize your pet, not a mechanical reproduction.
Customers searching for custom dog memorial gifts, cat memorial portraits, or pet loss sympathy gifts should expect a lovingly handcrafted, not digitally cloned, result.
2. We Rely on One Main Reference Photo
To ensure accuracy from a specific angle, we typically work from one primary reference photo.
Once crafting begins, we cannot switch angles or replace this main image, as it affects proportions and structural design.
This is especially important for pet parents sending us their only photo of a pet who has passed.
3. Wool, Clay, and Other Materials Have Natural Texture Limitations
For pieces made with wool:
- Wool fibers are different from real fur
- We cannot recreate glossy or silky shine
- Texture will be softer and more matte
- Certain coat patterns may be stylized due to the fiber behavior
This is a common concern among customers seeking realistic pet memorial sculptures or felted pet replicas, and we want to set expectations clearly.
4. Colors May Vary Slightly Across Devices
We always reference your photos for fur color and eye color, but:
- Different screens display colors differently
- Some pigments behave differently on specific materials
- Exact color duplication may not always be possible
This applies to acrylic portraits, oil paintings, clay sculptures, leather portraits, and silver pet memorial jewelry.
5. Miniature Works Have Limited Fine Detail
Small formats like:
- Mini framed portraits
- Mini full-body figurines
- Keychain-size sculptures
- Small acrylic layers
…naturally include fewer micro-details due to size constraints.
We still capture the essence of your pet, but tiny features will be simplified.
6. Adjustments Are Welcome — Within Material & Technique Limits
We happily make reasonable revisions based on your feedback throughout the process.
However, each art medium—wool, clay, acrylic, oil paint, leather, or silver—has its own physical limitations, and not every detail can be altered perfectly.
Our commitment is always the same:
To create a meaningful, respectful, heartfelt tribute that honors your pet’s memory and brings comfort to your heart.
